What a miserable, crappy, dismal first month of January 2008. Rain, snow, ice, wind. Just crap on me now and get it over with already.  But nooooooo, the semi-long term forecast shows more of the same for at least the next 10 days.   Yuck - come on March!!! 

So we got hooked on Heroes during Xmas break and watched the whole first season on DVD. We've started watching the second season by viewing episode downloads from NBC.com and are halfway through season two. Last night was too weird. We're watching episode 6, "The Line"  In the closing scene is the character Peter, essentially back from dead, standing in a scene of decimation in NYC when they discover a notice of pending doom with a date of June 14, 2008.  Peter, back from dead, talking about June 14th. My Peter's birthday.  F*ck.

As I left the house this morning telling Michelle what a nice vacation we just had over the last two weeks the reality of what awaited this morning was emphasized by the dark, cold dreary commute into the office. As is typical in the northwest this time of year, reality snaps back like a cold wet slap in the face.  Sigh....
